Julie Danneberg
I love Julie Danneberg's books about Mrs. Hartwell's class; First Day Jitter, The Big Test, First Year Letters, and Last Day Blues. The kids can relate to the students in the book (and I can relate to the teacher, Mrs. Hartwell).
Julie Danneberg is a middle school teacher. She is married and has two children.
Along with her contemporary realistic fiction books about Mrs. Hartwell's class she also has written a couple historical fiction books; Monet Paints a Day and Family Reminders. She also has writen nonfiction books on important women; Women Writers of the West, Women Artisits of the West, and Amidst the Gold Dust.
